Well, my fiasco with the squirrel and the Tree Trimmer has made ALOT of people smile...many of you heard this but will tell again...taking food to the squirrel feeder one was sitting looking at me....he ran up to the branch above ...I said "You come down out of that tree and talk to me" I hear "Ahhhhh, you want me to come down and talk to you???" I stopped and thought Good Grief is the squirrel talking to me and I am hearing him??" I hear someone clear his throat and look to the right and there is a guy in my neighbors tree....I said " Actually I was talking to a squirrel" He laughed so hard, almost fell off the ladder.....he said "That's a relief,,,,never had a lady say that befor" ....I told him he was a relief for me too I thought for a second the squirrel had answered me"............................A couple weeks ago I took corn out for them and said "Come and get it lunch is served" and again I hear a guy (in another yard) say What we having??? I went over and a nice young man laughed when I told him I am the owner of a Squirrel Diner.....he said I thought someone was feeding them am finding peanut shells under this tree (where they have their nests) come to find out they just moved in ...just bought the house (I told him didn't know you bought into a neighborhood with a nutty old woman who talks to animals did you? I told him about the other incident) He loved it and said I can't wait to tell my wife this story. I think I am done talking to animals.....will try Mental Telepathy from now on LOL

I was a preschool/prep teacher for many years. In 2012 when I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer I explained to the kids that I was going to be off work for a while and would have to have some strong medicines that would probably make my hair fall out. During my treatment I would periodically go back to the classroom to see the kids. The first time I wore a bandana/turban they asked why I had "that thing on your head". I told them my hair had fallen out so naturally they wanted to see. I removed the turban and they all had to have a feel of my head. One child asked when I was coming back because they missed me. A precious little fellow in his big boy voice said, "When her hair comes back, she'll come back!" That certainly brought a smile to the faces of all the adults in the room.

There was a couple, who were both turning 60, and celebrating their birthday after a long happy marriage. A genie appeared to them and told them that he was going to grant each of them a wish because of their devotion to each other. He first asked the wife what her wish was, and she responded that she had always wanted to take a trip around the world. "POUF" --- tickets for an around the world trip appeared in her hand. Then he turned to the husband and asked for his wish. He said that he wanted to be with a woman 30 years younger than he. "POUF" ---- he was 90 years old.

I'm going with a Valentine's card for hubby. 5x7 because I have envelopes that size. The papers are from CRO Spring Whimsey and from KSC Flower Market. I decided to make it romantic and not "masculine" with rust/grunge/hardware, etc. Hubby will just have to deal with it!

Starting my b&w page and seeing lots of moving b&w birds, what is a group of penguins called?
Per Google: A group of penguins is called a colony, a rookery or a Waddle, but these terms are typically used for a group of penguins on land. A group of penguins floating in the ocean is called a raft.
Sorry, tt doesn't say what a group of dancing penguins is called, lol
Nobody panic but I've fallen overboard! And not to worry, I've climbed aboard a raft of penguins and we've drifted to a remote island. Must be very, very quiet, we're hunting the elusive mojo!

Mine is short and sweet. During an ultrasound for our son (my youngest, and last), my husband said "Look he's smiling!" and the tech replied "Oh, that's an arm." Oops, well we started calling my belly Smiley. We have been so lucky because since his birth he has made us smile and laugh every day. He is our Smiley!

I work as an aide in a 5th/6th grade special needs Lifeskills classroom. I am a very touchy, huggy person and most of the kids are fine with that as they are the same, however there is one little boy who is not. I try my best to remember this, but often forget. So, the other day he was next to me and another child walked over and he says, "Watch out, she's a hugger!" So, apparently, I now need to come with a warning label!

Judging by the thumbnails it looks like we are going to have some adorable layouts this week in the gallery! I don't have a pet, unfortunately, so I went "wild" and chose this photo of some of the neighborhood cows.
