If I Could Fly, Would I . . .
1. Spend more time with distant family
2. View Macchu Picchu from the air
3. Cross the oceans and visit Ireland, Australia and New Zealand
4. Take stunning photos without the need to hang off a helicopter skid
5. Discover the true meaning of “bird’s eye view”
6. Not get hung up on the physics
7. Remember to use sun screen
8. Remember Icharus
OK—my bag of pixie dust is in the shop. While having the ability to fly might mean I could do all those things and many more, I have to ask myself if I actually would. Or would I get stalled in mid-takeoff by the horrifying thought that I hadn’t filed an FAA-approved flight plan!
But I do fly—on a daily basis.
9. God moments
10. Music
11. Art
12. Books
13. Good food
14. Relationships
15. Service
16. Surrendering to my giddy side (yeah, well, I’m working on that one)
My flights may be more cerebral than physical but they get me where I’m going.
Happy landings,
Orrinda
