I've been away from Scrap Girls for far too long. And not for any clearly defineable reason other than life just got in the way. I haven't been lurking on the messageboard or posting layouts to the gallery because I had nothing to say and nothing to post. I just re-read my previous blog posts and there's some good stuff there--a reminder of who and where I was back then.

My biggest challenge right now is defining myself so that I can finally be comfortable in my own skin. That's a difficult thing to do when those who should be cheering me on see this re-definition as threatening to their understanding of the universe. Yeah . . . okay . . . that's a whole other blog topic in and of itself.

Who I am right now goes to work every day to help make life better for children in foster care. Who I am right now takes vacation days to help make life easier for aging parents. Who I am right now reads voraciously as a means of gaining insight for that novel I intend to write. Who I am right now is a child of God searching for understanding and meaning.
