[font="Comic Sans MS"]Hi everybody <waves>
I am a newcomer to this side of Scrapgirls. I have been shopping in the boutique for quite sometime now and trawling and drawling over zillions of layouts in the gallery so thought it was probably about time I set up my own user account. So here it is. Please bear with me as I go through the process of setting everything up!
So a little bit about me then.....
I am a working mother of 4 Children. I live in the garden of England - The county of Kent and work for a medical diagnostic company selling medical equipment into the NHS hospitals. It is a job I love and suits me to perfection as I was a theatre (OR) nurse prior to having my tribe of children. My beautiful children are Hollie - 13, Kayleigh - 9 and my gorgeous twin boys Archie and Harley who are nearly 2.
I live with my partner Emma. We have been together now for about 6 years.
I first started scrapping after the birth of our beautiful twin boys. I did a paper albumn of their first year of life. I was overwhelmed by the amount of time it took me to make it and frustrated as to how few layouts I was able to create. I had been trawling the internet for some time drawling over peoples layouts and reading blogs and it struck me that many other mum's like me with little time on their hands had turned to digital scrapbooking. I thought I'd give it ago.... I initially brought a copy of photoshop elements but having been a very old user of paintshoppro in my younger years (vs 1 or 2 probably) I was frustrated by the limitations of not being able to put text on a path etc.... Then I got lucky and managed to purchase a copy of CS3 on ebay!!! Since then I've brought a new Canon EOS camera (the biggest purchase I've ever made on myself I might add) and am having a wonderful time photographing anything that moves.. although usually the kids. I must admit I haven't really got the hang of all the different settings but I aim to get there in the end.
I am currently working on an albumn from our recent holiday at Butlins. The only problem is with a new camera I always end up taking hundreds of photos. I can't wait to upload them and THEN......... have no idea where to start with the layouts!!
I'm hoping to start uploading my layouts soon but am very bad at tracking the items I've used on them to give credit (bearing in mind I've not had a gallery before).. If anyone has a reliable solution for this then I would be pleased to hear about it!
