Is this good use of my time? Does it have purpose? We will see. Will it be an encouragement to another? That is a goal. Off to teach kindergartners Sunday School with my husband. Then celebrate with my daughter who turns 19 today. Our daughter-in-law and grandson will join us for lunch before we head to the Christmas tree lot. This is a huge priority for the day, too. Went into labor at the tree lot. The tree on the roof of the car was an embarrassment to my husband. He wanted to drive home to drop off the tree before we went to the hospital. I was wondering if he remembered the speed of the other 2 children, born 1 hour from active labor...What would be more embarrassing- tree on the roof or baby in the car? So we compromised. Mom took the boys and would take down the tree after we got out at the hospital. And did the midwife make it in time for delivery? She showed up right at the end. The hospital must not have read my chart. They did not call when we showed up. They waited, not knowing she was far out at another delivery. What a night! But a safe, healthy baby went home in a tree-free car.
