I have tried to start a scrapping blog, but I wasn't sure the best way to do it. I kind of just want to write about my journey in learning this craft, and it may be easier on a site where others are also familiar with it. I have recently finished my honeymoon album, which was exciting because it was my first big project. I think I learned a lot in finishing that project. Not just scrapping technique, but also about thinking of layout positions (I hadn't really thought about the parts that may be trimmed off or unseen with the binding.)

I'm now working on an album I'm calling "The Story of Us." I'm setting about this album in a much different way than I did my honeymoon album. With the honeymoon album, I finished each double spread layout one at a time. I like the way it turned out, but I decided that I wanted the color and organization to be more consistent with this one. So I actually started by laying out the pictures for each layout first. Then I went back and put the papers in. I'm also trying to use more ScrapSimple supplies on this one. I really haven't used those supplies all that much, at least not as much as I use my regular club purchases. I've been having a lot of fun with this album. Right now, that's all I've gotten to. I am tweaking my layouts a little, adding a couple here and there, because I decided there's more that I want to tell. I also have done the majority of the journaling already. It almost seems like it's going by more quickly, but of course, I haven't even started the embellishments yet, so that may take some time now. I can't wait to finish and post them, though! (Then it will be on to an album documenting my pregnancy with my first child, due this September.)
