I knew it would happen this weekend, and I decided to be ready at any time - so I took a shower at 11:30 pm on Friday night, did my hair, took a sleeping pill and 35 minutes later I got the call. I drove 45 miles on an Ambien and survived. I know I was stupid, but I think the adrenaline was pumping, and I arrived safely. Lauren was having sore contractions for a little while, and I KNEW she would not like the pain, warned her beforehand, and she said never can be worse than monthly pains. She asked for an epidural, and was happy after that. When it was time to push, it did not take long at all - she did so well, and so did little Dashiel. He is adorable - but then every grandmother says that about her grandchildren. But I can tell, he is really really adorable and sweet and is going to be a great kid.
He was born at 9:03 am
Weight: 7.6 lbs
Height: 21"
Born on the 10th day of November, 2023 - so 10-11-12

A fabulous story! Awesome that you could be with your daughter when Dashiel made his appearance! My mom being with us when my son was born meant everything to me! Celebrating life together -- there is nothing more special! Many, many more blessings to you, Andrea! You have many thrilling moments ahead of you! Have to go see if you've posted pics yet!
