It's a mystery garden this year ... not sure what is in this "new-to-me" ground waiting to poke its head through to the sun when it gets warm enough. I made this page to glue into my hybrid journaling notebook. I liked leaving smaller journaling spaces for random observations and thoughts. One section was a record of the birds I've seen since I hung the bird feeder. Another was notes regarding the below freezing night temps we're still having and the master gardener's advice to wait until 60+ degrees happens regularly during the day. Another spot was a listing of the identified plants that have appeared so far or have name tags on them.

I like preparing these papers (digital painting) and glueing them into my journal for writing later. It makes the journal a little more special.
