My first speed scrap ... didn't quite do it in an hour ... but it was fun to do a LO within the prompts as they were given. Finding the elements was the slowest part. Need to work out a better organizing system.

April 25 2010 I stopped for a break on my drive home from a retreat.
It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanates from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit. - Robert Louis Stevenson

I wanted to start right off doing something with my photos from our MAD weekend.

I love the offset feel to this. It looks really great!
    Fabulous job! Great journaling!
You were smart to not do a full 12x12 LO!! Why didn't I think of that?? :hit-head-with-hammer:

Great job pulling together all of the elements!
Love how you journaling overlays your word art. I came to realize my organization needs some work, too!
As stark & bark looking as these trees are, there is a calming effect about them. And you have captured the moment with a beautiful quote & layout. Love the angled frame!
love the framing of the photo and the stitches....enjoyed seeing a photo you took on your way home.... i dont think i could've done anything in an hour either....
Kay, I LOVE love love the frames you chose, and the way you framed the photo!! Great stitching too!
Awwww, this looks like such a peaceful place. This LO gives the feeling of peacefulness, something we all probably need more of! Very nicely done!
Love the bark frame to go with the photo.
Love those dark colors, really brings out the feeling of being deep in the woods.
