March Week 4 - Collections

So - not only am I way behind on posting/taking this photo, I think I'm really pushing the limits on translation of 'Collection' set out in our homework.
Today I spent an exhaustive 45 minutes taking photos of weeds, yes weeds in my back yard. I needed a photo fix and I wasn't able to get out anywhere else and get it.
I took several (cough, cough) photos of the dandelions and when I saw this on my computer screen I thought that I may be able to squeeze it into the collections theme. If you look closely (hopefully it's not too small to see the details) at the head of the dandelion, there are lots of the little fairy thingees there - they're 'collected' there! Get it?!?!
I did enjoy taking these photos - here are the details:
Camera: Rebel XT (I thought I took it with my other one actually!!)
Shutter Speed: 1/500 sec
Manual Exposure - focused on center of head/viewer
ISO: 100
Focal: 85.0 mm
Comments/suggestions - is it hard to focus on it?! I'm going out tomorrow and using a grey card behind it to see if that works better!! Watch out dandelions!!
