Week 2 June June Landscapes
About 5 minutes drive down the road is this lovely pond where people fish. This afternoon the clouds were all puffy (like I like them) so I told my DH I was out the door to take some photos! And you couldn't see me for dust!!
I took loads, and I'm not that this constitutes a landscape, but I like it!
Miss you ladies and this class - won't be resettled until mid-August so I'll be popping in and out until then!!
Not sure if I focused on the correct thing for this to be a landscape - or if there is too much foreground - what are the 'rules'?

Carole it's a lovely landscape, and I love peeking through the grass! The V opening in the tall grass sets you right on a path to see the buildings in the distance. It draws the eyes right to them. Beautiful shot.

It looks like a beautiful landscape to me. I love the composition with the grasses in the foreground. Great photography.

Nice Shot Carole!

I think proportionally you've just about got it right.

Generally work on the rule of thirds for landscapes, adjusting the foreground, midground or sky to emphasise any particular features that you may want to draw attention to.

I like the balance that you have found here, Carole. As Dave says, the rule of thirds is a great guideline with the placement of the horizon or focal point on one of the horizontal lines, depending on whether you want to emphasize the sky or the ground.
