June 10 sketch challenge: Clean Up

Technique: I felt the patterned paper was too large and busy at its full size, so resized it to 50% and duplicated the layer, arranging the two so it looks like one full sheet of paper.

What sweet pictures. I think you are right about the pattern - full size would have been overwhelming, at this scale, it looks great, like tiles around the sink! I really like these soft, neutral colors.

Just beautiful, Cheri! Love the photos, first, and the colors are great. Cute title and great, creative work on the word "clean." I love the brushwork on the page. I wound up doing something similar for my center section; these sketch challenges are great teachers! Great layout!

This is very sweet, Cheri! I love the soft colors and the attention to detail (like reworking the paper & using the great textures). Love the spongy look for your title letters & how it helps tell your story.
