Saturday color challenge July 2010 flower journal

I used Christy VanderWall's Feeling Kafty Collection of papers and Kristin's Designs template. This is how my flowers look after 3 months. It's getting hot and they are starting to leg out so I need to trim them back for a while.

This is a wonderful LO! I love the vibrant orange and blue with the lovely green. Your journaling really makes this page. It gives great insight into why these flowers are important to you. Congrats on a lovely page and lovely garden. I have a brown thumb....wish I could grow things. Keep up the good work!

Your flowers are beautiful! Photos are such a great way of remembering how pretty they were long after they've faded. Your journaling is moving.

I loved your journaling and how you made your page LOOK like a journal. You have done a great job with your plants. I, too, see my mother in every flower in my garden. She was another gifted gardener like yours. How blessed we are to have had their love and care.

My condolences on your loss. I'm glad you have these beautiful flowers to remind you of your mother. What a nice thought that she is helping you with them. This is a nice thing to journal - every year I say I will do this and never do. Now I am not gardening as much and it's too late. Sigh.

Love the colors & that is a wonderful story. The flowers are beautiful - I love black-eyed susans and marigolds. You know, I've seen sweet potato vines in garden stores as part of hanging baskets. They are really pretty. By the way, I don't think 'you have to live with the pain' is a very good diagnosis. I would get another opinion.
