Your DD is very pretty and extremely photogenic!! I think that the photo is a little washed out and you can't see your DD complexion or maybe it is my screen and I need to clean it!!! :disappearing-smilie: Now that I have said that I don't know how to correct it. maybe someone else will have some better CC.

Hi Carole! Nice to see some of your work again! This is a great shot! If I was being really picky, perhaps you could create a lighter background or darken her face slightly. I think its a combination of her bright face and the dark background that creates a bit too much contrast. Either option should balance out the image a little. Still a cracking shot when all is said and done! You have a pretty girl there!

I love that angle. Your DD's face does look a little washed out. And I believe that DaveUK hit the nail on the head about the combination of her bright face and the dark background. My sister keeps telling me the same thing about some of my photos. She always says, focus on the dark background and then swing over to the light. And as DaveUK says, 'still a cracking shot'.

The shot angle is phenomenal and your daughter is a real beauty! I can see what people are saying about her face, but, hey, we buy styles to give our photos that same look!!

Can't wait to see your LO of this.

What a beautiful girl! I like the soft lighting and the angle works for me. However, in changing the angle for a different POV, don't forget to check the background... The placement of the tree directly behind your subject's head appears to be coming out of her head and, while the angle could work for your daughter, it can be disconcerting for an object like a tree or building. You might try moving your subject slightly to one side and angle your subject while keeping the tree, or other vertical objects vertical.
