State Fair of Texas 2008

With this month's Club, I love all the warm colors and earthniness of the Rough Hewn Collection (THANKS, KERI!), so everything in this LO is from Rough Hewn. I knew the State Fair pics would be a natural fit. Since the pic is two little boys (my son and my nephew - aren't they cuties?), I tried to keep embellishments a little more on the boy/masculine style, so I limited my use of baubles and ribbons, instead using the more natural elements of the twigs, twine, and pinecones.

Thanks, KatieGrace! Appreciate your kind words! I am not an experienced digital scrapper yet, so I just basically click-and-drag without doing any blending or adjusting opacity, etc. This LO took me just a couple of hours from start-to-finish-to-tweaking-again (b/c we simply can't leave well-enough alone!). This LO really got me in the mood for fall. :-)

CindyLu, this is great. I haven't been to the Texas state fair in many years (since I was in grade school,) so this brings back many memories. Very attractive and masculine layout.

All of the browns and copper colors are so gorgeous together like this! Love the blended photo in the background and your element layering around the frames. Great layout!

Wow, everyone...thanks for the kudos! I appreciate the encouragement. And Keri--thanks for this collection...it was perfectly timed to roll out during the fall! It put me in the mood to make pumpkin desserts and to get the fall decs out. Thank YOU for your awesome designs. Keep up the good work. :going-crazy:
