This photo was taken of me and my sister, Donna, Christmas 1949. The large stuffed animal on the right was my sister's Bambi. He was blue and white and rather adorable. That was my crib we were sitting in and that is a Chenille spread that was used to cover the bed. Chenille was very popular back in the 40's and 50's and even bathrobes were made out of it. I remember it well from sleeping on it and waking up with lines on my face.

What a great picture to have! I so remember the cribs and chenille bedspreads and the lines on the faces after a nap. great memories!
