Unmask the Night!
This is my contribution to the Saturday Colors challenge. I used Twilight Magic for the background. I changed the color and texture of the paper by using "Effects." The silhouettes are from Dover Clip Art, and the clock emblishments are Dark Night. The large mask is from an online store selling the mask. I just copied it and cut it out. Mardi Gras began in 1699 with the french explorer, Iberville. It was a holiday celebrated in Paris since the Middle Ages. When Iberville sailed down the Mississippi River on March 3, 1699, he set up camp on the west bank of the Mississippi River near New Orleans. This was the day Mardi Gras was being celebrated in France, and in honor of this major celebration, Iberville named the site Point du Mardi Gras.
