Oh, I just love your torn papers and the red ribbon. Beautiful - and sweet!

Oh my goodness, you are so adorable! (I realize I'm not adding anything of use for you, but you are so darn cute!!!) And funny that your mom colored the black and white photo. Must have been frustrating back then, to not be able to get the full cuteness of your kids through photos.

Belle, I think it's great just like it is. Love having the photo "printed" on the page of the book. You were a little doll.

I LOVE the pasted-on look of your picture, you adorable baby you. What a cutie.
OK, now for some thoughts: I've been staring at the LO trying to figure out why it is bothering you. I like the tears and your papers. I like your reddish ribbon, but, if you want to experiment with the font, you could try making your journaling and "Belle" in blue and "Aint She Sweet" to match your ribbon. Or make the ribbon a green that coordinates with your leaves, and try green or blue journaling. These are just a couple of ideas. You could just leave it as is...It's quite lovely now! I remember "colorized" photos and have a couple of strange ones of myself as a little girl. Thank goodness for color photography!

I remember those colorized pictures, I have one of me. It's really sweet. I like how you have it pasted in the book. After looking at the layout for a while, I think maybe you have too many shades of blue together. Maybe you could try picking the blue pattern you like best, then use the color of the pattern as a contrasting solid, or use a soft complimentary color perhaps. Orange is opposite blue on the color wheel so you could use a really pastel orange or a yellow. You might think about using a different, less ornate font for the poem on the book page and leave margins around it like a printed book. Just a few thoughts that might play up your cute picture.
