Journaling: Baking Christmas cookies is one of our favorite holiday traditions. There are a few favorites that get included every year- Lemon Cut Outs, Sour Cream Cookies, Spritz and some type of Peanut Butter Kiss Cookie (except this year we used Reese’s Cups instead of Kisses) and then there are always a few new recipes, too. This year those were Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting and Grandma’s Jelly Thumbprints. Both turned out pretty yummy. When we went to do the cut outs I realized I forgot to get the Christmas cutters out of the storage boxes, so we we went with what we had on hand, which happen to be the Poodle, Dachshund and Schnauzer cutters we bought in Las Vegas one year. They may have looked a bit odd for a Christmas cookie, but they sure tasted good! Dec 2010
