Wedding Day R

Wedding Day R

This is a photo of my Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather on their Wedding Day. I don't know who the other people are, perhaps friends or relatives who stood p for them at the ceremony. I tried to find a date but was not successful. They are my Granny's mother and father and these are more pages for the album I'm making for her. Journaling reads "These are wedding photos of my Great Grandmother and Great Grandfather on my motherís side of the family. I have no idea who the others in the photo are. They look to be about the same age so I guess they are the Best Man and Maid of Honor, maybe even related in some way. As hard as I try I canot find a date for their wedding, but my grandmother, their only child, was born in 1915. My great grandmother died when my grandmother was born. She was only 26 years old. I do not have many photos of her and these are a treasure!" TFL

    such a pretty set!
I really like the bird on this one! It's too bad people back then didn't smile for their pictures - maybe it was because it took too long to take them...
    Great layouts, beautiful photos!
The woman looks a lot like the bride - one of her sisters, perhaps?
What a beautiful layout this is. The photo is just wonderful. I love the paper and the scattering of the rose petals and the frame around the photo is perfect. Great layout.

PS: Have you ever tried Ancestry.com for information on your great grandparents?

I thought the same thing. I don't even know if she had sisters, I need to do some more digging!

That is what I spent most of yesterday afternoon doing, trying to find anything on Ancestry.com. I even found another site, Archives.com but no luck on a wedding date. I did discover lots of other cool stuff about my Great Grandfather though! I'm sure you'll see some of that in future LOs.
The 2-page spread you made coordinates and compliments SO well!!! I like a peek into the genealogy digging you've been doing too. It can be addicting:)
This is beautiful Brenda. I love the colors, the frame and your journaling. Looks fantastic!
So elegant. I love the vintage look of these two pages. You are so lucky to have these photos. Good luck in your search. Karen
