This is a replacement page for a previous layout on Grace. I used the cloning tool to take out the people in the background and the red a,b,c's on the torn frame. I am new to cloning so be kind. lol Please feel free to give me suggestions on how to make it neater, or a better page.

This a a beautiful layout - I love the background and that lovely photo with the great sentiment. I'm not expert and find the cloning brush to be very work intensive on large areas. For photos like this, there are beautiful blenders that can be purchased in the boutique that you would probably love. I've cut people out of photos with the marque tool on a large feather setting that blurs the background to a fade out. They work great when place against a different background. I've also brushed away items that I didn't want to show up in a photo. It's a little less difficult to do than cloning, although I still need more practice. lol I love your journaling, but it's difficult to read. I expect that shrinking the layout for the web has caused some distortion, but a little less shadow might help - I'm notorious for shadows on text that are a little too much. lol It's a gorgeous layout - i love the feel of it!

Thanks so much for your feedback. I am new to "elements", and have yet to learn how to use blenders! I have three more workshop cd's to view. Perhaps there is something on them that explains blending. Or, is there a place at ScrapGirls that has a video regarding blending? Your kind comments are so appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to write me. God bless, Bess

Beautiful layout for a beautiful lady! Wow, 101, that is amazing. I like how you've captured her as center of the attention in lovely greens and blues. One tool you might want to try for distracting backgrounds is the blur tool, although it may not obliterate as much as you'd like. It's nice to see that you've added a date. I like to keep my elements away from the edge, that way if I send them out for printing, I don't have to worry about items being cut off. Oh, I really like the mask behind the frame too - nice touch.
