One technique that I did on this layout was to play with the font. I wrote out my text, then highlighted it and used the warp tool, selecting the styles that I wanted for the text that I was doing at the time. I wanted my text to have a silvery sparkle to it , so I simplified my text layer, then Used the 'add noise' effect, then removed the colour. I added a very low shadow with a light blue/grey colour, a low bevel and a stroke at 1 with the same light blue/grey shadow.
