Cake!

My son just loves the How to Train Your Dragon movie. So when we started planning his birthday party, that's the theme he decided to go with. I knew I wanted to make the cake, but wasn't sure what to do, since I knew my skills were not up to tackling a real dragon cake! In comes the mountain/lagoon idea and I knew that was something I could probably do. I was really happy with the way that it turned out, and the kids loved the dragons scattered on the cake. :)

Journaling: This year I tried my hand at making Eli's birthday cake. Luckily it wasn't as hard as I was expecting it to be. And while I won't be going into the cake business anytime soon, I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Oh so fun! I love your choice of colours and the cute embellishments too. I think you should be very proud of the cake you made. :)

That's a really neat cake! The embellishments are cute & I like the dark (chocolate?) brown for the background - perfect for a boy layout.
