My husband and I canned pickles again last summer. We found it was a lot easier to do the whole process out on the back deck with the propane cook stove. It's a big job but we loved listening for the "pops" of the 52 quart jars as they sealed.

Love your strip of the canning procedure! And the strip on the bottom of your layout is just perfect for your canning them - nice layout, very well done and I enjoyed seeing the canning process! (My Mom was a huge fan of canning - did it every single year - I didn't inherit that particular talent but her goodies were so wonderful all winter long!) Nice layout - very much a story all in it's own and nice to look at! How great that your dh is involved in the process too!

Wow...look at all of those pickles! so far, I haven't even come close to getting enough cucumbers to do this. And outdoor canning? Cool idea!

What a labor of love. I love this layout. the border is just gorgeous as well as the tag that looks like a canning label.
