Personalized Index Card Book

In finishing up a recent Bible study, the author encouraged the participants to carry around a notebook with scriptures that helped encourage you with specific issues you were dealing with. I happened to be looking in the stationary section of one of my local stores and found these wire bound 3x5 index cards. I covered them with paper from Amanda Sok’s Frippery Collection and put a cover verse on one of those cute tags. Then I tied various ribbons from my stash and personalized this one for a friend with a chipboard alpha. This was such a fun and easy project! Several days later I saw in the newsletter directions on how to personalize a notebook and thought – great minds think alike!!

Thanks for looking!

I love the way this turned out, Bride! It's a beautiful book and beautiful thought. This looks so professional! I am amazed how neat it appears around the holes. Lovely work!

Lei, this is lovely. I like this idea - it could be used for so many things - scriptures, quotes, all of this computer stuff I need to have close by and certainly for gifts like you've done! You did a beautiful job creating this for your friend and thanks so much for sharing your idea. You're a very kind friend to do this for her.

Lei, what a great idea and beautiful project!

I love how it came out and the addition of the chipboard layer really makes it look so professional.

But, me too -- wondering how you were able to get the holes punched and the paper around the spirals so perfectly?

Thanks for sharing such a neat idea!

I posted the directions in this thread as Sara had asked the same question. Look at post #3. If you have any more questions ... ask!! :)

Oh, Lei, this is gorgeous! I was going to make the girls some autograph books for Disney, using material, but this will be so much faster and prettier! Thanks for the idea!!

Beautiful booklet and what a wonderful use for it. I've wanted to do journals in this way since I saw Ariadna's tutorial about making purse calendars this way last year, but just haven't gotten to it. I was thinking of a quote on each page but using inspirational scripture is such a wonderful idea. TFS :-)

Lei this is gorgeous & what a clever idea - I once thought of it myself but couldn't figure out how to cover the front cover when it was wire bound ?!
