I like the layout. However to make it stand out a bit more I would: add some drop shadows to the frames; maybe put a bevel around the photo without a frame, and add some elements to the page. Maybe place the doghouse in the middle of the page and then place the other three photos around that one. Also, don't forget about journaling and a title for the page.

Go to the gallery and look at some of the layouts that are posted there. You will get lots of inspiration.

Cute photos! You're getting the hang of it, yes? So much fun! You've got a great start here, but I'd like to see your photos closer together rather than scattered over the page. Try lining them up either horizontally or vertically. Or you could cluster them together, giving them each a slightly different angle. I think it will make a big difference.

Of course you can get ideas from the gallery! That's what everyone loves to do here. The pup is adorable.

You're off to a great start Patty! Real cute photos and I love the dog bone clip. I agree with Elisha - maybe place the photos closer together, maybe even overlapping them somewhat. Carol's idea about drop shadows and perhaps a bevel to the one without a frame would be good too. If the photos are placed closer together, that would give you room to add a journaling mat and/or a title or word art. :)

A bevel makes it look like the edge of the frame is angled - like an old-fashioned mirror. It gives a little more depth. Some software has options (maybe under tools) to bevel a photo. Or there may be styles available. I agree with Elisha about moving the photos closer together, maybe making the doghouse one larger than the others, also? The puppy is cute & that's a perfect collection to use.

Cute pictures and an appropriate collection to use. Sometimes I've found that just using one unusual frame on a photo larger than the rest provides a focal point. The other ones could be framed just in white or something plain. I also agree about the pictures being closer together in a group and making sure you add a title and journaling. The title could just be the name of the pet.
