I enjoyed working with this month's SS Club so much! Thank you, Ro and Kim! It was hard to not keep adding to the LO, but I wanted to keep it mostly simple and about the journaling, which is not the usual for me. I did want to remember what had taken place before I took this picture of (tired) Ed. I was happy to find that the tabbed "E" read "easy-going."

Journaling: I remember this moment because we were sitting in the outdoor bistro at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on our first evening in Oahu. It was 7:30 pm on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. You

had awakened at 5:30 am on Monday the 25th, gone to work, come home and finished packing and taken a short nap before we headed out at midnight for the ride to BWI. We flew out of Baltimore at 7 am, had a short layover in Phoenix, and arrived in Hawaii at 2:30 pm, or 8:30 pm EST. After the taxi ride to the hotel we checked in, changed and headed out to eat dinner. Even though you had been awake for 44 hours, you were still smiling your usual nice smile.

Wonderful layout and story.. I love your photo and journaling and how you placed them.

Your background color, stitching and border are great, yet I love how your pic and journaling tell the important story.

Awww ... what a sweetie he is, Dot! Love the layout and the stamps look uber cool ... looks like a gradient on them! So happy the "E" alpha card worked out! I will tell you that Ro put a lot of time and effort into those and I'm sure she'll be thrilled to know how well they worked in this layout!

Love the journaling! And what a great idea to use a gradient on the stamps. The stamps came from my Dad's stamps collection so I get a big kick out of seeing them used in a neat way!
