task 14 - 2000

I ended up scanning four photos because I was indecisive about what I wanted to scrap. (I ended up only using three of them.) Almost everything is from Angie Briggs' Gypsy Boots collection, which is one of my most favorite kits because of the colors. :) There is also a crumpled paper freebie from some time ago in there, JHI SSPaper WashedWorn. I created the word art by blending the washed worn paper with the floral lined paper and cutting out 2000.

My journaling is about what an exciting year 2000 was because we went from being a childless couple living in an apartment in CA to living in VA and expecting our first child, with a trip to Europe in the middle. (I know, I should have included a photo from that trip. At least the trip is paper scrapped in a thick album of its own.)

I love this collection too - same reason. The colors are awesome. I like how you have highlighted the year of the photos in that way and you're so good to tell all of that story on the layout. I really need to be better about doing that myself!

Delightful layout of a significant year! I agree with everyone who said they like the way you did the title - it looks great especially with the background papers. And your journaling font really looks like you hand-wrote it. Lovely!

I also really like your great photos and the way you did your journaling in light color.

Great page Michele! I too love all the bright colors :) I like how you created the numbers for the title and added the little month tags to match.
