Blue Angels - Kaneohe Bay Airshow 2011

Oooooh! If there is anything I like more than seeing the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds, it's photographing them! I love, love, love your layout, Ang! Great photos and great arrangement of them. Wish I had had the cloudburst collection the last time we saw the Thunderbirds! Love the way you put the formation in the journaling circle - what a cool layout. Funny, I've seen them both a million times and never, ever tire of them! Your layout made me smile this morning.

Thanks Sara! I was TERRIFIED to try and photograph them that day because usually I take the people pics and hubby takes the pics of things/places. And he's a huge aviation nut so photographing the planes is his baby. But he was out of town so I gave it my best shot. I think some of the shots turned out exceptionally well and I was giddy to show him (but had to temper my enthusiasm because he was so bummed for having missed the show LOL). My 2 favs are the one on the top right because somehow I actually got each of the planes in before they all shot off in their different directions and then the middle left shot because the condensation coming off the plane is just sweet It turned out to be a very cool day! We see the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds every time they come nearby for a demonstration, too!

This is such a wonderful layout, Ang. I think you did such a fabulous job with the photography. I know your hubby was sad to miss the show, but he had to be thrilled with the photos you took. We love the Blue Angels, as DH is retired Navy and also a pilot. Thanks for sharing this.
