8/13 - Cinnamon Toast

I feel like I should be appologizing to all the dieters today, but this is the only recipe I have that I know came from my grandmother. She would have been cooking during the Depression, so the using of left overs sounds right. Of course, you can adjust the amount of butter & sugar you used - I suspect Grandma used a very light hand (see Depression cooking, above).

My mother would make this for us if we had hard rolls that went stale & for us, it was a treat. Another fond childhood memory.

I used:

KSC_MomentaryFlight_Ribbon-SPEC (color adjusted)

KVE_AfternoonTea_Alpha

Aggie, I love it! We did cinnamon toast with sliced bread out of the toaster; this sounds much better! Beautiful card; great choices for materials & fonts.

Who doesn't love cinnamon toast?! Whoever thought up toast in the first place was a genious! Love your card, and the memories are very special. Love the G, C & T - makes it very fancy.

Cinnamon toast is a favorite of mine. I love this recipe! It sounds much better than my usual plain toasted bread. Cute card. I especially like the texture of the cinnamon-colored background. It looks sort of like it was spread on bread.

This is a really nice card and recipe. My grandmother made the best homemade cinnamon bread and I love it stale for toast. This sounds like it would be a great substitute! Depression era cooks were so amazing. I like the way you used cinammon colors on the card.
