I alway battle to do boy layouts. I am not allowed to use flowers on the layouts. This according to my DD.My boy layouts always look so drab. Any advice on how to make this look a bit more colorful???

Can't get a truer quote than that. This is lovely Belle. For your suggestion for boy LO's I think your can't go wrong with grunge for boys. Grunge titles, grunge backgrounds, grungy masks etc. Thats my thoughts HTH. Thanks again for a neat challenge idea.

Those photos are absolutely delightful! I love how you featured them on a "book". Great layout! I'm sorry I don't have any real advice to give, but I usually wind up using bright and/or contrasting colors on layouts of my dgs. I personally like this as is.

This is nice, great photos of their lovely eyes. Grunge is a good suggestion, or maybe plants that aren't flowers - leaves, vines, trees? I like that background, but if you are worried, you could use some of the color tools to brighten it. More neutral colors look good, too, though. I think there's a UFO chat coming up - you could get advice from the pros. Again, I think your layout's just dandy.

Belle, I don't think this looks drab at all -- those beautiful eyes really light up your page. I really like your border and quote and your blending is great.

I think this is a wonderful page.

Just wonderful. That close-up of the eyes blended in is phenomenal!

Maybe add some word art pieces (like 'smile', 'laugh', 'look')? You could put them in stars to carry on your theme. Tuck some behind the book or made to look tucked behind a page?
