For Tuesday, 04-Oct-11, Freebie Challenge. Thank you Brandy!

Journaling:While on a trip to the Pocono Mountains, we took a day trip to the quaint little town of Jim Thorpe. Someone had the creative idea to tuck different pots of flowers between the upright stones of this wall. My mind wandered off to think about who had come up with this marvelous idea, and I spied the yarn shop right across the narrow side road. It, too, was decorated with pots & window boxes of flowers; and I could just see someone spending every day looking out of a window & seeing that wall. The shop was closed so we were unable to confirm my theory; but I’m sticking with it, as it is something that might have come to me if I was the one at that window.

I love this - the blending, the photos and of course, the cool story to go with it all. A very engaging and lovely page.

I like your theory! The photos are just wonderful -- I'm so glad you took the time to snap them and to journal about them. It looks like a place I'd love to visit. Great textured background and I love your colorful use of the freebie. Lovely page!

The real beauty is all in the details that the eye does not seem to grasp very easily. But you have used your camera wonderfully to zero in on those special spots of interest and then your journaling takes it even a step further. I love the placement of the photos and how you have displayed them so uniquely . . . a circle, a lifted frame and a blended photo. Then tucking the journaling through the middle just set the page in motion. And finally, adding a touch of background splotches brings out the wonderful color of the flowers. Love it!!!
