No more Mum!

Journalling reads

It happens to every scrapbook mother everywhere at some time or other. Years of click, click, and snap, snap, snap take their toll on the children eventually.

I admit that I am so obsessed at times with capturing the moment, that I forget you are just young and far more interested in doing the activity rather than capturing the moment for prosperity.

I was looking back through my photos today and despairing over the gloomy faces, bored expression and far away look in your eyes. I remember pleading “Just one photo please” but I actually took more like 60 this day, It was supposed to be a family fun day and it was we all had a great time, but somtimes the camera clearly does get in the way. Does this make me a bad mother? No just a little thoughtless sometimes. Family fun should not be viewed as a photo op but as a time to be together and bond.

I promise to remember this more moving forward.

Ah yes, every scrapbooker's bane! I love the vertical column of journaling and how it is embossed into the background paper. Love the cute little hand drawn embellies too. Super LO!

Oh - journaling that is oh, so true. Fabulous page, and the photo tells it all. One day when I was shooting pics of grandson, he said, "Can't you just play with me?" That was my "ah ha" moment. Thanks for the reminder.

The journaling is so true-- I have a layout with my 12-year-old daughter holding her head in her hands because she really didn't want me to take her picture.

I love the sketched embellishments. They are adorable! Wonderful layout!

Oh Goodie, I found you at long last! You do make me smile with your journaling and this ever-so-cute layouts. There is definitely a fine line when it comes to enjoying the moment yet capturing it as well. I love how you have used Brandy's emboss style. I must get it out and dust it off! Thanks for the inspiration.
