Saturday 10-15 Color Challenge

I liked the spare, somewhat weather-beaten look of this island church, so made the photo black and white. I kept trying to get more color into this LO, but finally decided to leave it as is. I should never have read the tutorial in yesterday's newsletter because I've made yet ANOTHER velvet ribbon using the technique Sara Beth Peterson described there. Full info is in the exif.

Perfect. Really jumps off the gallery page! Nice work with the velvet and I love that you chose to keep the rest black and white and stark. Magazine worthy! Beautiful photo!

Diane, you knew I would love this didn't you!?!? Blending, black and white and some pink - all my favourites, except no glitter... :-( this is a great picture and I think you were absolutely spot on keeping it muted and highlighting the tag, and your ribbon is excellent - I think you paid good attention to that tute!

Beautiful. The color is great. I love the B & W with the little touch of pink. I also like the crinkled look of the background paper.

This is so lovely! I love how the bland and white photo looks and adds to your wonderful photo. Your blending is great and I love how you framed your title - and the tiny splash of pink color.

Really great! :)

Diane, this is such a lovely layout. I agree, it is lovely like it is! I love the blending of the photo into the white paper. Perfect choice of paper for this photo! One of those times when less is more. I like how you let the photo take center stage!
