So I did not have any photos, very clever. I colored the background and used a PSE texture on it. Other than the shadows and the Antique Effect style, I stuck to my recipe. Instead of a photo, I used a brush that I made myself from a letter that Bianca wrote. She posted the letter to us. We were so surprised when it arrived. We had to laugh at her 'loving and missing' us, even when we are dead. I batteled a bit with the colors. Just could not get a color to look good. CC welcome.

Wonderful layout, Belle - and what a very sweet and loving letter from Bianca!
I love how creative you were in making a brush from the letter since you didn't have a photo for your page.
Your background is gorgeous - I love all the different pieces you put together so beautifully. I really like the soft warm colors you used with the bit of red/pink hearts - so really pretty!
I love this special page and it made me smile - out of the mouths of babes!

I don't know anything about the challenge, but I love how you have preserved her letter and honored her beginning attempts at writing. This will such a treasure to her later in life.

You did a wonderful job to make a meaningful page with NO photos. This looks great! I love the way you've layered everything - the buttons, lace, clip and papers. The corners add a nice anchor to the page. Beautiful and touching letter, too. A treasure.
