Sat. Color Challenge - Rainbow

I started out thinking I'd use some of the rainbow photos I had, but I had so much fun with the rainbow paper & the 'real' rainbows just didn't go well, so I decided to use this rather simply colored photo. This is where I went to school & it's a pretty campus in the summer. I'm just not sure why they parked a Florida campus in snow country.

I used:

SG A Narrative Syndee Nuckles Frame (one layer, color adjusted)

Thao Cosgrove Daily Bread (size and shape adjusted)

BVA Bokeh Blur Special blended (screen filter) over:

SG Refresh2 Durin Eberhardt Mulit paper

font: Terminal, Wide Latin Ultra-Expanded (then used a rainbow gradient, the Xach effect filter, which lightenend the colors & gave it an outline, then it was beveled.)Created with GIMP

To make the rainbow background, I used a rainbow gradient, then used the IWarp tool to twist it. I made several copies and set them at different angles.

Now that's pretty. I love the way the title is multicolored as well as the bubbles. Beautiful background paper and interesting facts about the University.

Wow Aggie! Firstly great rainbow effect, thanks for detailing how you did it, have never ever heard of the filters you describe! Next, I love the play on words here- university is higher education, the rainbow colours give it an LSD type feel like you are on a different consciousness level, and the tunnels above and below ground give it a third meaning. Clever! Terrific photo too!

That is a fun background that you made Aggie! I like the contrast of the "simple" (yet stunning) photo against the rainbow background. Thank you for participating in the challenge!

I love the bright colors with this photo! We had an area like this at SUNY Brockport, but they took it down and made an underground tunnel, too!
