HNC-12/7: "Auntie Ann"

I've so enjoyed Barbara C's album pages these past months, that it inspired me to scan a few old photos and try my first Heritage layout.

I combined a few challenges for this page - the journaling chat - to scrap a photo you know nothing about, Wednesday's High Noon crop to create a page using white space -- something else that's hard for me to do! And, I used a collection for the first time for Use Your Stash challenge.. Whew... :)

(PS - Now, a few weeks later my Godmother is here and I showed her this photo - she tells me that Auntie Ann was Maid of Honor for her friend Minnie. So, the mystery is solved!)

For this layout I used:

What a gorgeous layout this is. That background paper goes so well with your vintage photo of your Auntie Ann. What a gorgeous frame you chose to surround this beautiful photo with and the swirly ribbon and cluster tops it off.

An elegant page for an elegant photo. That is an impressive bouquet! I love the swirling ribbons you used to complement the swirly paper. And the photo corners and embroidered flower fit the time of the photo very well. You've made a great start on heritage pages - well done!

This is fantastic! I love everything about it. The purple and gold is so regal looking, especially with the beautiful flourishes. What a cool idea to journal about a photo you don't know anything about. Well done!

I love Barbara's pages too - such interesting journalling every time! You have made a wonderful heritage page here - I keep looking at her - she is like the Mona Lisa! I look at her and it feels like she is looking at me! The colour scheme here is gorgeous - I wonder if her (giant) bouquet had lots of purple in it? Perhaps she loved purple as much as you!?! Your subtle photo corners and swirls and wee cluster add so much to this page and I enjoyed your journalling - although I AM glad to have an answer!!!
