Friday challenge Bridge over Troubled Water
This track was so important to me as a teenager. I was a great S & G fan and spent all my meagre pocket money on buying their records. I loved the poetry of Paul Simon's lyrics and Art Garfunkel's angellic voice. If I'm honest, now I found them a little saccharin :-(. Still, the sentiment in the song is inspiring.

My photo is of the Skye Bridge. The waters may not appear troubled in this picture but they are very, very deep! And in the days before the bridge, the ferry from the mainland to the island was often prevented from sailing because of bad seas. TFL

I loved that song! This is a gorgeous layout - great photo & it blends beautifully into the background. Interesting bit of history, too.

This is gorgeous~ and I think as we grow, songs just take on different meanings. That's the great thing about art... its different things to us at different times.

I loved that song -- and all their others -- too! DH and I actually went over that bridge on a pretty nice day. I can imagine it would look quite different in other weather! Beautiful photo and page. I especially like how you blended the foreground.

Wow, great combo! That is a really good photo of the bridge (is that the one in 'Speed bonnie boat like a bird on the wing, o'er the sea to Skye??"... and regardless of troubled waters or not the lyrics suit the picture because they talk about being a friend when it is needed, not all the time... great page :-)
