Here is my scraplift inspired by this cute LO by Reminiscing!

week 30

I mainly wanted to use the layout design - but Caeleb's middle school colors are white & royal blue so I ended up going with a paper weirdly close to the one she used & the only musical paper I had that didn't look odd ended up being close to her yellow selection too - isn't that funny? LOL

supplies in exif - cc welcome & thanks for looking!

Jenna, this is so interesting. I love the curves, postage stamp frames, the torn photo and the blending. The journaling path is fantastic. Really lovely layout.

I love your photos, how wonderful for your son to discover a talent he can work with and turn into something all his own! I think the colour scheme is just right, it looks completely different with the blended photo in the middle and that is where my eyes fall each time... your journalling is so expressive and I think that and the embellishments are unique enough to count as truly yours :-)

Great layout to scraplift! I like your take on it. The blended photo looks wonderful as do those close-ups. I think you did a great job making this your own.

Ditto, to all above. I especially like the connection between your clever choice of title and the blended photo on its blue curve. Great layout!

Cute title! How wonderful that everything worked out for your budding musician. It is a nice design, I'll have to go look at the original.

OK, I'm back - similar colors & the same curves, of course (which are totally cool, I may do a bit of scraplifting myself) but a totally different feel.

What a wonderful story. The gift of a trumpet may also be the gift of a lifelong pleasure. I like the title of your page and the cool photos.

I really enjoyed your journaling, Jenna - what a wonderful story and memory to save for Caleb. I also really like your photos and how your journaling runs down the page and the use of the curves and different papers looks super! Great layout! :)

Well done. I love the photos, included the blended one, especially the torn picture. Great journaling. Hope his love for the trumpet and music will be lifelong.
