Task #24 - My favorite Doll

Oh, Joyce - what a beautifully touching layout. I love your photo and so enjoyed reading your journaling about the special doll your Mom made you. So interesting.

Your page is gorgeous - I like ths soft colors you used and the way you framed your photo. Your embellishment cluster is gorgeous. This is so wonderful in all ways!

Wow - what an amazing dress and wonderful doll! I'm so glad she has survived and that you've taken photos of her to share with us. I love the sunny yellow, that pretty font and your lovely and happy clusters around the frame. Just a beautiful page.

What a great memory to have scrapped! The journaling really gives us a feel for the sentimental importance of it, but the others parts of the layout are beautiful as well!

I have never heard of thistechnique before Joyce. An interesting page - makes me curious about your Mum and her talents. Great page - good colours to go with your photo.

I love your story, Joyce. I can see why this would be so special to you. That doll is just adorable and the dress is incredible. I've never heard of this technique before, however, it is interesting. Love the background paper, soft colors, frame and cluster. You did a great job with this.

I found this journaling so fantastic. Your Mom really was talented Joyce. I know she was the artist in the family and the apple did not fall far from the tree. Lovely layout.

Joyce, that dress is incredibly beautiful, so simple and delicate and so intricate at the same time... First time I ever heard of the technique and so whilst viewing on iPhone I got to read the details before seeing the picture- far more beautiful than I imagined... Your vintage feel cluster adds something special to this interesting and inspiring page... Your mother was quite a remarkable artist (was it unusual for women to do this in those days?) and I so enjoyed seeing your doll, this and mom's rose are beautiful pages and pieces :-) if you want to showcase more of your mums works I would love seeing them :-D

Lovely, lovely! Your soft yellow and blue is a lovely combination - the BOY cluster is perfect here. I really enjoyed reading the journaling. I've seen a few dolls with the porcelain dresses, but had no idea how it was done. Your mom did beautiful work!

Wow! Amazing layout, and a real treasure to boot! Your doll is superb. I've heard of that porcelain technique--I had a small figurine with a lace dress done that way, but I've never seen a baby doll like that. How amazing that your mother made her for you. Thanks for sharing your treasure.

Such a sweet memory to scrap . . . Very clever lady, your mother. I think I have a Raggedy Ann-type doll my mother made; and I have MANY pieces of clothes she made for my dolls. She was quite the seamstress! I saved as much as I could for my ‘future daughter’. Alas, no daughter. But I’m waiting for maybe one in the next generation.
