Task # 24 - The Pond in Winter

In this challenge, I used the "burst" mode on my camera to photograph my goldfish. The photos aren't anything to brag about, but if you'd seen any of my earlier attempts, you'd know why I'm pleased with these! When you combine active fish with murky water and reflections, it becomes a real challenge to get just one good photo.

Supplies:

Michelle Coleman's Sunny Disposition - orange paper

SNU_Picturesque_PprSPEC_Cream - changed color to blue-gray - coordinates with Picturesque

I always forget the journaling! It says:

I don't see my goldfish much in the winter. The cold, gray days keep me indoors and the fish stay in the warmer water at the bottom of the pond. On the occasional sunny day, the fish will swim near the surface, nibbling at algae. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to see fish that I haven't seen in months. Some of them, I didn't even recognize. My previously bronze fantails have turned black, and one of my black orandas is turning orange. The calico fantails were the most photogenic of the group today. One tiny calico was very brazen, which makes me worry a little for it's safety. There's not much cover in the pond this time of year. Spring will be here soon, and the fish and I will be so glad.

Wow! What fantastic photography, and a lovely layout! I love the way you've paired the center photo with the koi stamped paper. The stitched stripes over the layered background are fantastic. A real eye-catcher! (And I'm insanely jealous of your lovely pond, btw!!! :giggle_bear: )

What a fantastic page. I love the colors and how you used the paper. I find it easier to get photos of our koi in the winter because they're so much slower. :D
