Tuesday Freebie 2-7-12 -- Flowers

It's amazing what you can do when you don't know what you are doing. I was outside taking photos of the pretty flowers around my old apartment complex last Spring. I was using my 14-42mm lens with the large lens hood. Took a few pictures and when I reviewed them, I couldn't figure out what the black round circle was. I figured it was just a special action of the camera. What did I know? It wasn't until several months later while I was shooting some photos and the same thing happened. I realized what the black circle was. You're supposed to use the small lens hood when you use the 14-42mm lens. By using the large lens hood, it creates the black circle. So here are some of the photos that I took with the small lens and large lens hood.

Really nice layout! That's funny about the camera equipment. The lens hood made a nice frame! I used to take photos through a toilet tissue roll for a vignette effect, but things have come a long way since then. I have new DSL camera and haven't used it yet.

Love the victorian feel to this page. I actually had florals which were framed in an oval frame, and this page reminds me of them. I like the stripped wallpaper behind the flowers. It gives it the feel of prints in a wall arrangement.

LOL, you created masterpieces without even trying! I love the antique look to the photos. Pretty embellishments: I like the butterflies flying around the page and also the little swirls that connect your frames. The freebie paper looks great!

LOL! Love that story! Definitely something I would do! And, I'll agree with what everyone else has said -- the photo frame effect turned out great and the LO does have an wonderful, old fashioned feel to it.

Isn't that great! Some of the coolest things happen by accident. This page is really lovely, like those background papers and I knew you would have lots of beautiful butterflies!

Well, I think you should use this method more often. It worked out pretty welll. I just would not have told anybody and said I did it on purpose. disappearing-smilie.gif Love the different papers that you use. Pretty layout.

This is such a pretty page! And what a lucky discovery! I think the photos look very artistic, and I love how you've framed them. The butterflies and floral papers make me think spring!
