Being "down under" our spring runs from September through to the end of November... and hence runs into our summer holidays that stretch out for 6 weeks over Christmas... The first sign spring is here for us is not baby animals and better weather cos the seasons are so mixed up these days... we know it is spring when the Royal Show comes to town! It is pretty much a travelling carnival that travels round to each major city and works with that city to put on a Show containing local produce/arts/craft/animals/farm exhibits and the travelling sideshows and rides. I remember it as one of the most exciting things we ever did as kids and my guys love going too :-) the first week of September is Show Week and after that spring is here!

Wow, is this sweet! That lil' guy sure is a heartbreaker and those adorable eyes draw you right in! Your photos are wonderful and I like how you placed some of them through two boxes and how they pop off the page. I also really enjoyed your journaling - I didn't know about the Royal show - what a fun rite of Spring to look forward to. I enjoyed your journaling and especially reading your notes and explanations. Really both and interesting and colorful page! :)

I like the layout of the photos. It looks like such a good time. It was interesting to read about this rite of spring. Here we have the flower & garden show to kick off spring. All the local florists & garden clubs get together & have displays - so cheerful at the end of winter.

I love your photos and I love the Royal Show. I have not been to one in over 30 years. We always had one in Pietermaritzburg KwaZulu Natal. Thanks for the memories. Your layout is just perfect in every way.

I love reading about life down in your part of the world :) The Royal Show sounds like a fun time for the whole family! I really like the page protector layout, and the way you combined both single-space photos and some that take up 2 spaces. Fantastic layout! Thanks for joining the challenge.
