Journaling:

We had the scare of our lives with Grandpa. He and Trevor were playing ping pong and Grandpa came upstairs with chest pain. He layed down for awhile thinking it was something he ate. When it persisted, he thought he'd better go to the hospital. Dale raced him to the Blair hospital where we were surprised to hear that he was being life-flighted to Omaha. It was so hard on all of us seeing the hilicoptor take off with our precious Grandpa! I’ve never seen the kids cry like that. In Omaha, they determined that one of his artieries was over 90% blocked and they immediately went into surgery. Grandpa was very fortunate and recovered very well. We had another scare a few days after he went home, but we thank our dear Lord above for giving Grandpa another chance! He has much more to give this life. LOVE YOU GRANDPA!

How scary! So glad things turned out well for Grandpa! As I said on the first page, this is a great LO! I love the EKG lines going across the photo of the hospital, and the placement of just everything. Well done!

WOw, what an amazing story and how wonderful to scrap it. I really like the way you used the actual artery pics and showed us how well it was unblocked! Wonderful and I"m so glad Grandpa is doing well. And, I like your idea of making a layout = I'm sure it was therapeutic for you, your children and maybe grandpa himself! Best to all of you and happy all turned out well... :)

Although this was a very scary event, scrapping it as a reminder for your family is wonderful. Your children can look at these pages and talk about their feelings. Sometimes with something like this, kids keep all of their fears inside. What a great LO!
