Karin's First Snow

I've been moving photos from an old, falling-apart album into a new one, and adding names, dates, and locations that were missing. When I encountered this picture of our daughter, just shy of her second birthday, I had to scrap it. She was born in January of 1970 and spent her first few months in Seoul, Korea; we brought her home to Okinawa in September. I was about five months pregnant. We returned to the US in October of '71, with two daughters, a dog and a cat! The kids and I spent three months with my parents while Dave found us a house in Austin; he joined us for Christmas, and we all moved to Texas in January. This was the first snow any of us had seen for three years. And, after Karin got used to being all bundled up, she liked it!

I had to look on your supply list to see how you'd achieved that very clever framing of the photo. I think the colours are lovely and the way you have put the little bit of journaling in is very clever too. Great job.

This is gorgeous. Love the cute photo and the very pretty papers. The colors are so pretty and soft. A really lovely girlie layout.

Very cute photo and I love the way you've framed it, almost like bits of ice. The colors are what drew me to the page. The pastels are so pretty and a little different from the usual winter colors. Lovely cluster of snowflakes and ribbon, too. I also like the whole frosted look to the page. Gorgeous!
