The onion dryer is just a frame with chicken wire stretched across it. Used for our onions after we pull them out of the ground in the fall & let them sit out in the sun to dry before winter storage. We grow a lot of onions which last us all winter; the drying helps keep them from rotting since the water content of onions is so high. Just about finished with last year's crop & this year's is in the ground already, so we shouldn't have to buy any at all this year. Spent $2 on onion sets! And onions are a staple at our house -- also keeps our girls supplied too. That's onion for the year for three families!!!
