Mon 4-16 National Parks

Sandy Hook, New Jersey, is part of Gateway National Park at the entrance to New York Harbor. I lived a couple of miles from there for many years, and it is where our kids grew up. The Sandy Hook Lighthouse is the oldest existing lighthouse in the US and the only existing one dating from Colonial times (1746). Fort Hancock is part of Sandy Hook, and my photo is of the former Officer's Quarters. Materials are listed in the exif. TFL!

I just love your page. Love the door with view of the water and lighthouse. Love the wood paneling wall with the oar marking your location. Are the picture templates from the new SSApril package? They look great. Love the little basket with the shells and flip flops. Just great!

This is great! I just love lighthouses! I have a bunch of those from the Maine trip, too, maybe those will be next. :)

Great use of the frame cluster and paring it down to just two photos!

I really, really like how you've used the door with the pic of the water and the lighthouse! What a great idea - and I like the coral (?) with the rope that you've hung those great pics with clothespins on - I just love everything about your layout! Makes me long for a vacation and lighthouse hunting!

AH... Diane - this is wonderful! Me too - Sandy Hook and the Jersey shore is one of my favorite places around and I spent a lot of my childhood summers so happily there! Your layout is gorgeous - I love the lighthouse viewed through the door and how creatively you tied the other two pics on the board with coral underneath. The basket of beach essentials is the perfect embellishment cluster for your page and I love your title on the oar. Simply lovely - I can picture being there, seeing the ocean, riding past Officer's Row -- wow, from your layout I can smell the salt air. Thanks! :)

Oh my goodness Diane I'm not sure how I missed this layout but it is absolutely beautiful --- I love the patio door looking out at the lighthouse, all the embellishments you used to decorate your page AND I love your stunning park photos and the way you displayed them.
