4/16 National Parks - Togetherness

I actually started this page for the Scraplift Challenge during Mischief 2012, but didn't finish it in time, so I set it aside. Since the photo is from Superior National Forest, it fits today's challenge, too, a happy coincidence for me!

Journaling: When we spotted this lovely view as we were hiking near Ely, MN, we stopped to take a timed photo so we could preserve the beautiful memory.

Scraplifted from Summertime Getaway by Brandy Murray; Butterfly Kisses by Jen Reed (dark green border/frame (modified), background paper, clip, berries, tag, re-colored ribbon); photo mask on photo by me; photo mask used on inner reddish frame by Mimi; pine needles by Monica Aguirre; pinecone by Sky; distressing brush for mask behind title by Bunny Cates; CU leaves behind photo and on ground; Fonts: Times New Yorker, Pristina

Beautiful photo, Sue! Blending it into the background adds to the soft and tranquil look of the page. This is just beautiful! I checked out Brandy's beautiful layout, too. I can see the inspiration, but this is all yours!

The timed photo is perfect! What a wonderful memory, and I especially like the pine needles in the cluster (not sure why, but it really caught my attention!).

What an inspired idea to take the timed photo. I might get DH to participate in one of those! It's a perfectly lovely spot and you were really on top of things to get the shot. And what a gorgeous way to display it. Family heirloom, for sure!
