Saturday 4-21-12 Color Challenge -- Swan In Flight

I was walking around the Lagoon at Orchard Beach last weekend and I spotted this Swan across the Lagoon. I'm glad that I had my Olympus DSLR with me, as I was able to shoot frame, after frame, after frame without any lag time between shots. I managed to get her just taking off into flight skimming the water and then as she soared high above overhead. She was so beautiful with her long neck and her wings stretched out.

Supplies Used:

TCS Nature Trails -- Paper forestry

LSH Bird Mail -- Alphas

I used DEB SSStyles Dyed Fabric to recolor the frames around the photos and the blue in the background.

The template, Bakers Dozen, I got as a freebie from Happy To Create.

Carol, this is gorgeous! Your photos are amazing and so beautiful and I really like how you show the progression across the page and the swan in the blue sky itself. Wonderful layout - enjoyed your journaling and notes, too! :)

Wow! Carol! I love how you've placed the pics of that gorgeous bird in motion on your layout - your whole layout has so much energy with the movements of each wing flap! How creative is this! Fabulous pics!

Wow, how lucky to have been there and catch her flying away. I have never seen a swan fly before. Great arrangement of the photos of her taking off and flying. Very creative.

Outstanding! I am always trying to get birds as they fly - you've taken some amazing shots. I like all the photos and your journaling taking the forefront with just a bit of background showing through. Well done.

Great series of photos, Carol!! It can be difficult to catch birds in flight. Thanks for joining the color challenge.
