Had been toying with this idea for a while and even started work on it, but just couldn't find the perfect background. So when this challenge came up, it was like voila! Thanx for the challenge and the freebie! =)

Journalling reads:
1. i was born in the Year of the Monkey
2. and 3. Monkeys love my camera and my camera loves them
4. My daughter calls me "Monyet!" - Malay for monkey

By the way, my daughter isn't purposely calling me a monkey. She's a VERY late talker, and can't pronounce Mummy properly yet. And just for the fun of it, i digitally added a little flower in my hair, and a little bow in my daughter's, since she absolutely refuses to wear anything in her hair. The crazy things we do with Photoshop, just because we can!

This is adorable in every way! The photo of you and your daughter is so cute, I didn't even notice that the flower and bow weren't "real". I really like the interesting text path, and the title is just perfect. Wonderful page!

So cute. I love your idea and the way you put this together! I especially like the cute pink monkey and the flower and the bow. And the way your journaling follows the photos. I think the freebie makes the perfect background for your layout!
You are so right about Photoshop, lol. I gave my 10 year old granddaughter (digital) dangling jeweled earrings in one Christmas photo. She wishes they were real.
